Cultivate is the American Cancer Society’s signature culinary fundraising campaign in the Greater Sacramento region, bringing together chefs, farmers, community leaders, and cancer advocates for one unforgettable evening with one shared goal: ending cancer as we know it, for everyone.
Local chefs will partner with farmers to showcase the ingredients that make our region special, bringing their stories and culinary creativity to life through an immersive tasting experience, live cooking demonstrations, and interactive moments throughout the evening.
But the journey goes beyond food.
Just as a seed needs a community to help it grow, hope needs all of us. Throughout the evening, guests will discover how their support helps the American Cancer Society provide support to patients and families, advance groundbreaking research, promote prevention and early detection, and create a future without cancer.
Because when our community comes together, hope grows.
“I choose to Chair Cultivate 2027 because I am deeply passionate about bringing our community together to do things that can change the lives of all of those around us and to set up future generations for long term health and prosperity.
For me personally, cancer has ripped through my family at all levels, grand parents, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. Often times taking my loved ones from us way to early, and other times making the lives of others way more difficult than they should be.
Cancer has touched all of us in one form or the other. Whether it has been a personal experience, or one of a loved one, neighbor, or a friend, the disease has had a profound impact on our lives. The fight against cancer is a tough one, but because of the great work that the American Cancer Society does, it is not an impossible one, but success hinges on all of us joining the fight. Sacramento has a history of coming together as a community and now is the time for us to come together to fight this terrible disease.
Now is the time. Cultivate 2027 will prove to be a defining moment in bringing the Sacramento Community together in the fight against cancer and having our region become the model for success around the country.“
The American Cancer Society is a global, grassroots organization driven by science, best practice, and more than 1.5 million volunteers. Our mission is to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer.
We fulfill our mission by funding research, providing patients with information, improving access to care, prevention, treatment, and through advocacy.
Cancer is a disease that affects everyone, but doesn’t affect everyone equally, and we are committed to providing everyone a fair and just opportunity to prevent, find, treat, and survive cancer. We believe no one should be disadvantaged in their fight against cancer because of how much money they make, the color of their skin, or where they live. Every cancer. Every life.
Learn MoreFor more than 10 decades, the American Cancer Society has been dedicated to pursuing better outcomes for every cancer, every life. Today, more people are surviving cancer than ever before, but there is still work to be done. Join us, support us, and help us end cancer as we know it, for everyone.
